The scale or timeframe are yet to be decided, but there will be war. We will do everything in our power to minimize the toll, but we’ve lost one daughter and nearly lost our second.

But... that's not a good way for a leader to think. It is better to believe in things like justice and mercy. I believe Miss Fuu... her way of thinking is the best kind to hold power. To make mercy manifest.

I think the real duty is making the ideal possible, without ignoring reality.

...It will. If someone only cares about power, they will hoard their wealth to keep it. Miss Fuu... she would do a lot to keep the people safe. And as long as we can act on that will, people will choose that safety over anything her enemies could offer.

Fuu wasn’t raised in the same way her sister was. We allowed her more freedoms, thinking she would never need to inherit the throne. We thought it was best to shield her from the worst, knowing her role as princess would be elevated if she were beloved by her people. She’s good natured to start, and we encouraged it further.

But our shortsightedness could lead to danger for her.
