He was my friend. [She's almost surprised to hear herself say it.] I don't think that means he had to stop being "just" human.

My father has always seemed so much larger than life to me. I never thought he'd actually die.

...I get what you mean on that front, I guess. He still seemed like he had a lot in him.

He was young. And stronger and more dedicated than anybody. If it wasn't for the oath, he'd probably have outlived both of us.

Wouldn't want to hold that kinda standard to anybody, to be honest.

[She says, ready to hold herself to a ridiculous standard.]

But it's likely that we'll find ourselves in that position.

[Ranma fixes her with a long, searching look. Thinking over arguments and counter-arguments.

Then she moves over to Fuu's spot on the bed, putting herself right in front of her. And then gently but firmly pushes her down onto the mattress.]

[She goes bright red! But, well, she's 12 what is she thinking?]

W-what are you doing?

[She grabs onto Fuu's hand and puts it down on Fuu's own chest.]

Is it beating?

[hououji]

Y-yes...? [it's hammering.]

[fluidgender]

Then you're human.

The only thing that matters is living and what you do while you're living. That's true for every human and its true for you. Nothing more, nothing less.

[She... looks away a little.]

I-I shouldn't be laying on your bed. It's inappropriate.

[She blinks, glancing over it.] What's wrong with it? Its not dirty...

But I am... and you're a lady...

[That response might be making things more awkward, as Ranma leans in closer.]

So? I spent half of yesterday running through the woods. [Which, honestly, would suggest the bed has gotten dirty today but its fine.]

Baths! Another thing humans have whether they're ladies or not.
